"I’m often told that going from an engineering degree to shop fitting/bespoke cabinetry is a strange way of getting into the industry, but I have taken with me a great knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Machining (CAM) which has provided me with a great background to produce cabinetry quicker than traditional carpentry methods and to provide the end consumer with great quality and value for money using varying materials".
Dell pm was originally setup as a 'project management' company, hence the pm of dell pm! But Tom was unhappy with the cost, quality and timekeeping of the many firms that were needed to produce the promises made to customers, this lead tom and dell pm to manufacturing cabinetry. Dell pm manufacturing was born from a small workshop of no more than 300ft2 and over the last six years and several workshops later, dell pm is now proud to be based in modern 5000ft2 of workshop space.
"It’s been quite a journey, when I think back to the beginning having such a small space to work in with the team working over one another and today having a huge state-of-the-art workshop where 95% of the work is done in house. It has been hard work to get to where we are now, it’s taken this amount of time just to find the right team of people with the same work ethic as myself!".
Dell pm is now looking to the future and striving for new heights with the addition of home automation products, the future to all home and commercial electronics.
